Abstract

The graphical user interface (GUI) has become the most important and widely used means for human-machine interaction; it also guarantees the perception and usability of the software. Although testing this area is indispensable to ensure the software’s proper functioning, the graphical user interface is tested most of the time manually. However, this process takes too long and requires much effort on the part of the employees, and therefore cannot be repeated as often as necessary. This bachelor thesis is performed in an industrial environment and aims to improve the efficiency of the software company in means of time and cost. Consequently, an automated GUI test suite is conceived and implemented with the aides of a tool named "Squish."
