Abstract
For simplifying financial reporting and making it easy to exchange financial reports, the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) has been created. In the last few years, XBRL has become popular and will probably be soon the
standard format for business reports. An important goal for consumers of these financial reports is successful and efficient analysis. Therefore a powerful and dynamical search function on these reports is required. The scope of this work is to analyze the requirements of a complex and dynamic search on XBRL and to develop a possible solution for these requirements. To prove the correctness and the feasibility of the proposed solution the search should be implemented exemplarily. This implementation has to be examined, if fulfilling the requirements or if some parts have to be improved or which further requirements could develop from this implementation.
