Abstract
For the modeling of business processes the Business Model and Notation (BPMN)
2.0 can be used. To examine the comprehension of BPMN models studies are
conducted. To facilitate the preparation of the studies a tool, the so called BPMN-Generator,
for the automatically generation of BPMN models has been designed
and implemented. The BPMN models generated from the BPMN-Generator only
include a small subset of elements defined in the BPMN 2.0 standard. However,
some studies require more complex BPMN models. Accordingly, in the course of
this thesis, the BPMN-Generator is expanded to also support the BPMN elements
Pools and Lanes. For the studies to be successful, it is essential that the generated
models comply with the BPMN standard. This thesis solves this problem by designing
and implementing an additional component, which checks the BPMN models
after the generation to comform with the BPMN 2.0 standard and shows an error
screen, if the model is invalid.
